"Tonya is amazing! I had been dealing with vertigo for about a week and a half and I was really at my wits end. I had tried things that I had seen online like the Epley maneuver with no relief. After doing some research, I found Dynamic Mobility and Balance Center and Tonya was able to get me in quickly. Just by turning me on my side, she figured out not only which side my vertigo was on, but also that it was in my middle ear canal, and the Epley maneuver is ineffective for crystals in the middle ear canal. Her exercises in the facility, and the exercises she sent me home with, gave me a relief after two days. I could not be happier, and I hope I never have to deal with vertigo again. "This is the second time I’ve had a concussion that required vestibular therapy, so I had an idea what to expect going in. But Tonya blew me away. She is extraordinary knowledgeable and experienced, and explains everything very clearly. "It can be hard to find therapists and specialists who look beyond their specialty to help “all” of you. Tonya is one of those and I am so happy to have been referred to her. Tonya’s expertise and experience working with neurological, vestibular and balance issues is palpable, and she stays lock step with you at all times, remembering even small details about you, the progress you’ve made (or haven’t) and the breadth of the issues you’re working through. While Tonya officially treats my vestibular issues, I come with a host of conditions that affect my body, head and brain. Sessions with her feel like working with a good friend which brings a level of comfort and pure trust that makes me comfortable bringing up anything. Each session starts with a catch up. This sit down time is important for me because my brain can find it very hard to remember even the most important and obvious of things if I am feeling the slightest time pressure. Tonya understands and is not phased when I regularly check my notes so that I can do my best. I’ll share what’s been going on that week with my vestibular and other issues, and Tonya will ask about anything I haven’t brought up that’s on her radar. It’s obvious that Tonya has thought through specific therapies or exercises to do with me for the session. At the same time, she is not remotely phased if I end up taking over half of the session with questions or looking for advice. She’ll take the time to help me out and then seamlessly transition to her now reduced plan to maximize the remaining time. It’s this ease combined with her willingness to be there for “all” of you, no topics off limit, along with her flexibility (and kindness!) that I most appreciate about Tonya. I’ll ask questions that are clearly outside of the realm of what she’s treating me for, and if she has thoughts or can help, she will; if not, she’ll take a moment to consider where she might point me to find answers (if she can)."
